Beginning at the Guthrie‑Carroll County line on the south corporation line of Coon Rapids at a point approximately ¼ mile west of the NE Corner Section 3‑T81N‑R33W, Guthrie County (SE Corner Section 34‑T82N‑R33W, Carroll County); thence southeast through Section 3 and 2‑T81N‑R33W to a point near the SE Corner Section 2‑T81N‑R33W; thence east following substantially the section line of Section 12‑T81N‑R33W and Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10‑T81N‑R32W to the west corporation line of Bayard, connecting with an unnamed street.

Bayard:

Beginning on an unnamed street at the west corporation line; thence east on unnamed street to the east corporation line.

Beginning again at the east corporation line of Bayard, connecting with an unnamed street; thence east following substantially the section line of Section 11 (west junction Iowa 25) and Section 12‑T81N‑R32W and Section 7 (east junction Iowa 25) and Section 8, 9, and 10-T81N‑R31W to the west corporation line of Bagley connecting with Railway Street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Due to a review of the Primary Road System records, Iowa 141 in Guthrie County should be deleted from the Primary Road System and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary Road System.

Iowa 141 begins at the Guthrie‑Carroll County line at the edge of Coon Rapids and travels in an easterly direction to the Guthrie‑Dallas County line 2 miles southeast of Jamaica, via the cities of Bayard and Bagley, Iowa.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

Locate Iowa 141 and its extensions in Guthrie County as follows:

Beginning at the Guthrie‑Carroll County line on the south corporation line of the City of Coon Rapids, Iowa at a point approximately ¼ mile west of the NE Corner Section 3‑T81N‑R33W, Guthrie County (SE Corner Section 34‑T82N‑R33W, Carroll County); thence southeasterly through Section 3 and 2‑T81N‑R33W to a point near the SE Corner Section 2‑T81N‑R33W; thence easterly following substantially the section line of Section 12‑T81N‑R33W and Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10‑T81N‑R32W to the west corporation line of the City of Bayard connecting with an unnamed street.
